Why Choose Our Drain Inspection Company
When you look for a drain inspection company, you want more than basic plumbing knowledge. At Zoom Drain of New England, our entire business is built around drain and sewer work for homes and commercial properties. That focus means our team is trained to handle complex sewer issues, from locating a broken section of pipe to confirming the condition of an older line before you invest in repairs.
Our technicians complete extensive training on drain inspection methods, safety, and communication. They arrive in fully stocked service trucks with video cameras, pipe locators, and cleaning equipment. This preparation helps us move efficiently from inspection to solutions, so you are not left waiting while someone returns with the right tools.
We also believe that cost should be clear from the start. Our flat-rate pricing model means you know the price for your inspection before work begins. There are no surprise fees added at the end of the visit. If the camera inspection reveals that cleaning or repair work is needed, we walk through your options and pricing before any additional service moves forward.
Property owners choose our team because we respect their time and space. We protect floors and work areas, explain what we are doing before we begin, and clean up when we are finished. Our company stands behind the work we perform with reliable warranties and ongoing support, so you are not left on your own after the appointment ends.
Signs You Need A Drain Inspection
Many sewer problems start with small warning signs that are easy to overlook. If you understand these signs, you can schedule a camera drain inspection before a minor issue becomes a messy and expensive emergency. Paying attention early often helps avoid damage to flooring, walls, and personal belongings.
One common sign is recurring clogs in the same drain or in several fixtures at once. You might clear the blockage only to have it return within days or weeks. This pattern can indicate a deeper problem inside the main line, such as heavy buildup, a partial collapse, or tree root intrusion that standard tools do not fully remove.
Other red flags include gurgling noises from toilets or drains, water backing up into lower-level fixtures when you run water upstairs, or slow-draining sinks throughout the property. You may also notice damp patches in the yard, unusually green grass along the path of the sewer line, or persistent sewage odors. These symptoms suggest there could be cracks, misaligned joints, or other damage that only a detailed sewer inspection in York County, which residents can schedule with a dedicated drain company, is likely to reveal.
Ignoring these issues often means they continue to worsen out of sight. A timely inspection lets you see the condition of your pipe and address problems, while options are typically more manageable. Our goal is to help you catch issues early so you can plan for repairs or maintenance on your schedule, instead of reacting to an unexpected backup.
How Our Camera Sewer Inspection Works
Not knowing what will happen during a service visit can be stressful. We work to make your camera sewer inspection as straightforward and predictable as possible. When you call to schedule, our team discusses your concerns, reviews basic information about your property, and books a time that fits your schedule.
On the day of your appointment, our technician arrives in a fully equipped service truck and reviews the plan with you before starting. We identify an access point for your sewer or drain line, which is often a cleanout or another existing opening. Using that access, we carefully feed a flexible cable with a high-resolution camera into the pipe.
As the camera moves through the line, it sends a live video feed to a monitor. Our technician slowly advances the camera while watching the screen, looking for signs of buildup, tree roots, cracks, corrosion, or misaligned joints. If we see something of concern, we can usually pause to examine it in more detail and note the approximate distance into the line.
When needed, we also use an electronic locator to pinpoint the position of the camera head from above ground. This approach helps identify the location of specific problems, which is useful if you later decide to move forward with targeted repairs. Throughout the process, we take care to protect your flooring and surroundings, using drop cloths and cleaning up any water that may be present.
Most inspections are completed in a single visit, although the exact time can vary based on the layout and length of the line. Once the camera drain inspection is complete, our technician reviews the findings with you on-site. We strive to explain what the video shows in plain language, answer your questions, and outline reasonable next steps.
If cleaning is all that is needed, we can often discuss options on the spot. When more significant damage is discovered, we provide clear information about what we saw and what types of solutions are generally suitable for that kind of issue. We aim to give you enough information to feel confident about whatever you choose to do next.
Sewer Inspection Solutions For Properties in York County
Properties in York County range from older homes with original sewer laterals to newer commercial spaces that see heavy use. Each type of property presents different challenges for underground pipes. Our team is familiar with how age, materials, and tree growth around local properties can affect sewer lines over time.
In older neighborhoods, it is common for lines to be made of materials that are more prone to cracking or root intrusion. Homeowners may notice recurring basement backups or standing water in floor drains. A detailed drain inspection in York County that residents arrange with us helps reveal whether roots, sagging sections, or other defects are causing those repeated problems.
For commercial properties such as restaurants or multi-tenant buildings, frequent use and grease or debris from kitchens can create stubborn blockages. Regular camera inspections can be part of a maintenance plan to keep drains flowing and help avoid disruptions in business operations. For buyers and sellers, a sewer inspection can also provide useful information before a property changes hands.
Because we focus on drains and sewers, we understand how local conditions in York County influence pipe performance. We consider access points, likely pipe paths, and typical materials when planning each inspection, so the process is efficient and thorough. Whether you manage a busy kitchen or live on a quiet residential street, our goal is to adapt our process to the needs of your specific property.

Zoom Drain came through again! Prompt and professional service. Tristan and his assistant were amazing!Bill Thompson
We had raw sewage back feeding into the cellar. From the first phone call for help to getting the issue resolved was excellent. Super courteous and excellent service. Joe, the service technician, knew the job was too big for his rig. He called in the big guns, city workers. Working together they were able to clear the main lines, and everything is back up and draining smoothly. Thank you, Zoom team. You guys did a great job.Michael Martel
Had Zoom Drain scope an outside drainage pipe under my driveway. Evan explained the process, marked all the problem areas, and provided a thumb drive with the scope video on it. Offered other services to fix problems, but I already have a fix in place. This is the second time I have used Zoom Drain and will definitely use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.Peter Kelley
Prompt, quick, and thorough. They were great communicators of what they were doing at every step and gave me a plan and options for the future. Even though my issue wasn't drain related (thank goodness!), I'm so glad I had them come out. Worth the expense for the security.Christina Michaud
Came out same day and was able to get the clog free and the camera down the drain that no one else could do. Now we know who to call from now on.Crystal Cartonio
Most wonderful experience! Joe, the technician from the Scarborough location, really knew his stuff and did great work. Would recommend to anybody.Thomas Stone
Joe was great!! He was super thorough, knowledgeable, and honest. He answered all our questions and discussed different options with us. We'll be requesting him in the future. I liked the flat-rate pricing as opposed to an hourly rate. It helps you know what you're getting upfront. I know they've got to pay workers extra for off-hours and holidays, but the emergency fee still did seem a bit exorbitant. But maybe it's standard for the industry. I don't have enough experience to know. They were at least upfront and clear about it. We'll still be calling them again, though, for more yearly service, and we'll just hope to avoid emergency calls in the future.Jessica Zee Price
